Please take the time to look over our surveys, we value your input and welcome your honest opinion. The purposes of these surveys are to create a database stemmed from the foundations of sound environmental observations of the everyday citizen. We also aim to collect information from Kanaka residents as it pertains to how they see the land changing. We are especially interested in the emotional responses to the changes and how it affects the continuation of cultural, traditional, and spiritual practices for the future generations of Hawai`` `i.

OBSERVATION AND MONITORING LOG- This observation log is to better understand the condition of our island. Through the eyes of many we are able to continue in understanding, protecting, and preserving our fragile ecosystem. This information will also help as it correlates to current events such as climate change, erosion, pollution, tourism and other impacts caused by human or natural activity.
FISHING SURVEY- The purpose of this survey is to better understand the condition of our islands river, fish pond, estuary, deep sea, and shoreline aquatic life. By gaining knowledge through those who are fishing, swimming, or performing any outdoor activities in these areas whom notice a increase or decrease in certain types of fish or sea life.
WAINIHA RESILIANCE CENTER- This survey is to gather information about public feelings of the center being built in a place with historically tragic events, and how they feel about the true safety and longevity of this proposal.
HANALEI - HANALEI RIVER- This survey is to gather information from Kanaka and Kama'aina families in and around the Hanalei area as testimonies that will be presented to boards, panels and meetings held about this topic on behalf of the people, their cultural needs, as well as subsistence in relation to the land and it's people.
HA'ENA - WAINIHA- This survey is to gather information from Kanaka and Kama'aina families in and around the Ha'ena-Wainiha area as testimonies that will be presented to boards, panels and meetings held about this topic on behalf of the people, their cultural needs, as well as subsistence in relation to the land and it's people.
KE'E - HANAKAPI'AI- State of Hawaii's proposed Ke'e Master Plan and building of a bridge over Hanakapi'ai Stream. This survey is to gather information from Kanaka and Kama'aina families in and around the Ha'ena/Na Pali area as testimonies that will be presented to boards, panels and meetings held about this topic on behalf of the people, their cultural needs, as well as subsistence in relation to the land and it's people.
WAI'ALE'ALE AND WAIKOKO STREAMS- K.I.U.C's proposed 65 year low flow water diversion permit request. This survey is to gather information from Kanaka and Kama'aina families in and around the Wai'ale'ale and Waikoko Stream areas as testimonies that will be presented to boards, panels and meetings held about this topic on behalf of the people, their cultural needs, as well as subsistence in relation to the land and it's people.
